Taxicat

Did you know that caterpillars don’t have lungs? They breathe through little openings in their bodies called spiracles! Unlike mammals, they don’t have vocal chords that they can force air over to create noise and speech. Because of this, in the world of Taxicat, it is challenging for caterpillars and other bugs to speak in a way that mammals can understand. They instead imitate the sounds of speech by vibrating and clicking their mouths. The result is an unusual and breathy accent.
